Johanna started practicing yoga at the age of 16. Over time, she discovered that yoga was not only a tool for staying healthy in the physical body, but especially in the mind and heart. When she discovered the beauty of practicing yoga, she recognized another truth, free from the ego. Then she decided to follow a new path in life and leave her university studies behind to teach full-time yoga.
Johanna is originally from Sweden with roots from South Korea. It was in Stockholm that she obtained her first 200-hour certificate in Ashtanga yoga at the age of 20. A few years later, she went to Costa Rica to obtain a 500-hour certificate in Vinyasa yoga.
Her lessons are challenging but also soft, so that the student can experience his practice through discipline and dedication, but also through self-love and kindness. Her ultimate goal in teaching yoga is to help people create harmony and peace within, where someone can be free of the mind.
Johanna is also an Ayurvedic nutritionist, life coach and massage therapist and she’s currently studying to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner. Ayurveda is a big part of Johanna’s teachings and you’ll discover that her classes are very much inspired by this ancient wisdom.
